ETIAS is not a visa but an electronic travel authorization that citizens from over 60 visa-exempt countries <\/a>(such as Mexico, Argentina, Chile, the United States, or Canada) must obtain before traveling to the EU. This permit allows stays of up to 90 days within a 180-day period for tourism, business, or transit purposes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to apply for ETIAS?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The process is simple and 100% online:
\u2705 Fill out a form with personal and travel information.
\u2705 Have a valid passport.
\u2705 Pay the required fee (approximately \u20ac7).
\u2705 Receive approval, which, in most cases, will be automatic and granted within minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When does it take effect, and how long does it last?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

ETIAS will become mandatory starting in 2025 and will be valid for three years or until the passport expires. With a single approval, you can enter Europe multiple times without needing to renew it for each trip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
